This plastic media has a surface area of 800 m2/m3 and is dynamic in its design.
Once moved by a continuous column of air it gives a maximum effective removal rate of ammonia, nitrite and nitrate. And the removal rate of nitrification is recorded as 560 gr/m3 as against 60 grams/m3 the usual calculations recorded by most other media.
This removal rate of nitrate is unique and will go a long way in disposing of the growth of blanket weed in most ponds.
