Water enters the Ecopower pond filter unit via a spray head, which evenly distributes dirty pond water over a foam filter sheet.
Solid particles in the water are trapped in a filter foam sheet.
Almost solids free, the pond water then passes through plastic bio-media where benficial bacteria cleanse pollutants. The amount of bio-media increases in direct proportion to the size of the pond filter to support a greater number of fish.
Purified water then passes up the ecopower's outlet tube and back into the pond.
Hozelock's Ecopower has a viewing hatch to observe the internal operation of the filter.
The 6watt UV lamp eliminates green water algae.
Hozelock Ecopower pond filter units can be partially buried to help hide them.
